Anuya Y Bhagvath is a former Indian actress who gained prominence for her notable contributions to the Tamil film industry, particularly for her performance in the romantic comedy film "Siva Manasula Sakthi" (2009). She made her debut in the Hindi children's film "Mahek," directed by Kranti Kanade, which premiered at the London Film Festival and received critical acclaim. The film was also nominated in various categories, including Best Picture at the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival.

Her breakthrough in Tamil cinema came with "Siva Manasula Sakthi," directed by Rajesh, where she played the title role alongside Jiiva. Before the film's release, Anuya narrowly escaped a terror attack while staying at a hotel in Mumbai, adding a dramatic twist to her journey in the film industry.

Anuya Y Bhagvath continued to showcase her acting prowess in the Tamil film "Madurai Sambavam" (2009), directed by Youreka. Her performance as a deglamorized cop earned praise, with a reviewer from Sify describing her as "fantastic" and noting her ability to bring emotion and reality to her role.

Following her success in Tamil cinema, she secured roles in films like "Nagaram" opposite Sundar C, and smaller roles in Vijay Antony's "Naan" (2012) and a promotional song in "Nanjupuram" (2011). Anuya also made a cameo appearance in S. Shankar's "Nanban" (2012) but expressed her decision to avoid such roles in the future.

Apart from her film career, Anuya briefly worked in Bengali films, making her debut in the film "Gora" based on Rabindranath Tagore's novel. She later ventured into television, featuring in Doordarshan TV series like "Kasturi Kundal Basey" (2009-2010) and "Ek Tha Rusty" (2014-2015), where she played the role of Maharani.

In 2017, Anuya Y Bhagvath participated in the first season of "Bigg Boss Tamil," though she became the first contestant to be evicted. She cited her inability to speak Tamil fluently as a factor that affected her acceptance among other contestants in the show.

Her filmography includes diverse roles in various films such as "Mahek," "Siva Manasula Sakthi," "Madurai Sambavam," "Nagaram," "Naan," and "Gora," showcasing her versatility as an actress.
