Shiju Kataria


Shiju Kataria is an accomplished Indian television actress and producer, recognized for her notable roles in various television serials and films. Born on May 27 in Fazilka, Punjab, she pursued her early education at Army Public School, Fazilka, and later moved to Chandigarh for further studies. Shiju graduated from Punjab University, Chandigarh, before venturing into the entertainment industry.

In 2002, she relocated to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting, marking the beginning of her journey in the world of entertainment. Shiju Kataria gained prominence through her portrayal of Smriti in the StarPlus serial "Behenein," which earned her acclaim for her dedication and performance. Her talent and hard work were acknowledged by acclaimed writer Gulzar Sahib, who selected her as the lead in two movies, "Teen Behne" and "Das Tola."

Throughout her career, Shiju has been a part of nearly 70 serials, showcasing her versatility and acting prowess across various genres. From 2014 to 2017, she appeared in a range of television series, including "Behenein" on StarPlus, "Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya," "Santoshi Maa," "Aahat," "Savdhaan India," "Mohi- Ek Khwab Ke Khilne Ki Kahani," "Angrezi mein kehte hain," "Crime Patrol," "CID," and "Kashmkash Zindgi Ki," among others.

Her extensive television career boasts a diverse array of roles, spanning different genres and characters. Shiju Kataria's contributions to the Indian television industry have been substantial, solidifying her reputation as a versatile and accomplished actress.

In addition to her television endeavors, Shiju Kataria has also made notable appearances in films. She starred in movies like "Das Tola" directed by Ajoy Verma, where she played the character Anju, and "Ani Maane" directed by Jay Gb Patel, portraying the titular character. She also appeared in "It's My Life" directed by Anees Bazmee, essaying the role of Chutki, Nana Patekar's younger daughter.

Currently, as of August 2021, Shiju Kataria is making waves portraying the character of Sejal Anjaaria in Colors TV's "Balika Vadhu 2," continuing to contribute her talent and skill to the television industry.
